back to my roots

We did some commercial work for Greenbrier Associates a few weeks ago up in Rexburg, Idaho and it was wacky going back (I went to school at BYU-I), but it was a good kind of wacky.  I have to say that I am uuuuber jealous of the new remodeling they've done on campus (ahem, the MC) since I graduated... um, AMAZING.  I would totally have studied way more in those gorgeous spaces... I think.

Anyway, good times, great people (that's you managers) and many thanks to the loads of students we randomly plucked up to sit in front of the camera for us, you da bomb.

I am totally loving spring this year.  I'm not a huge fan of the dark clouds that come through blocking out my beloved sun, but I don't mind the rain watering my flowers and plants for free.  And I definitely don't mind water droplets looking all pretty on my growing tulips. 

I'll muscle my way through those clouds for something this lovely.

I am loving maternity shoots lately.  Pregnant women are just GORGEOUS and Catherine is no exception.  I just have to say that I'm totally jealous of people that don't get fat in their face when preggo (ahem, catherine) - caaaaauuuuse I'm totally guilty of it.  You totally wanted to know that right? Yup.

I hope your Easter was just wonderful!  I could not believe how GREAT the weather was this year, goodness who knew you could have egg hunts outside??! 
 Yes, I grew up in Idaho if you must know... we never had egg hunts outside.  

Well, I was smarter this year and took pictures of lily in her Easter dress before church... I know brilliant right?  Anyway, I caught a few of her doing our new little thing we like to do (which is necessary to keep things fresh for a little two year old who sees A LOT of the camera) and felt it was hilarious enough to share.  See if you can read her lips and figure out what she's saying... in three frames.

I cannot believe that Easter is only a few weeks away... okay it's four weeks away but that still feels close, relatively.  I keep looking out at our lawn and the bits that are beginning to green up and I just can't believe we did it!  We made it through another winter guys!  In celebration I felt it only right to post some pictures of my freaking ADORABLE nephew and niece in their Easter Sunday best.

You will remember them I'm sure from the sunflower field post, well they just keep growing and so there's nothing left to do but take more pictures of them.  Darn.  They had a great time feeding the birds, eating suckers and occasionally the bird food (samuel), and mostly showing off their adorable selves. Poor Sam had a few sad moments which were hilarious and completely blog worthy.

So here they are, enjoy them, and HAPPY SPRING!!!

i know my baby girl is sick when:

1. she would rather be inside laying on the couch than outside feeding the birds
2. she falls asleep... everywhere
3. she cries when I try to give her goldfish snacks (her favorite)
4. she wakes up drenched in sweat
5. she snores (it's like the cutest thing people)

What a little sweetie pie, get better soon lovey.

remember how i started this awesome project photographing the beautiful chloe colette throughout her pregnancy incorporating vegetables and then never showed you anything else?  well i'm totally slacking because I'm still LOVING the project, even if the holidays totally threw us both off. 

next time, i'm going to have this gorgeous girl come and help me with my maternity wardrobe, she is so beautiful in every photo, yes?
